Exciting news!! Sara will be offering a Fundamentals of Yoga Series starting July 6th!
Whether you are new to yoga, coming back after a hiatus or injury, or simply want to brush up on some of the nuances of asana practice, the Fundamentals of Yoga series will support increased confidence and joy in coming to your mat.
In this workshop series, we will explore poses that make up the foundation of Vinyasa and Flow classes. We will focus on common sequences, proper alignment, finding each pose in our own bodies, and maintaining the integrity of poses as we transition between them.
Yoga is much more than the physical postures we tend to associate with it. However, when we dial in our physical practice, building muscle memory and proprioception, we create an opportunity to enter a flow state. In this space, we are connected to and aligned with body, breath, movement, and the eternal present moment. This is where yoga becomes a transpersonal practice, supporting the health and well-being of the whole person.
Additionally, each of the 4 sessions in this series will incorporate meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), and a basic overview of the 8 Limbs of Yoga.
The Fundamentals of Yoga series is appropriate for beginners through seasoned practitioners. Due to the nature of this workshop series in providing individualized instruction, it will be limited to 12 participants.
Days: Thursdays in July (4 sessions)
Time: 10:00-11:30am
Pricing: $100 for the series
