Mala Bead Workshop with Darc Moon
What are Mala Beads?
Mala beads are more than an accessory.
Mala beads are an ancient tool that was developed to keep the mind focused on the practice of meditation. Mala’s originate from Buddhism and Hinduism, but you do not to have to be religious or spiritual to wear mala beads. A mala can simply be used as a reminder of your intentions. Typically, the mala a person needs will find them.
A mala consists of 108 natural gemstones, hand knotted after each bead, charged with a mantra, one guru bead and tassel. A mala is a gift that keeps on giving because of the energetic gemstone properties and the love and intention that is put into the construction of each necklace.
Mala’s also provide balance for the chakras. Chakras are the energy points and centers of spiritual power in the human body, there are seven of them.
